Setting Up a Forwarder

Email forwarding sends a copy of incoming email to another address.

  1. Log in to DirectAdmin
  2. Go to Email ManagerForwarders
  3. Click Create Forwarder
  4. Enter the email address to forward from
  5. Enter the destination address to forward to
  6. Click Create

Options

  • Forward and keep a copy — The email stays in your mailbox AND is forwarded
  • Forward only — The email is only sent to the destination (not stored locally)

Catch-All Address

A catch-all forwards all email sent to non-existent addresses at your domain:

  1. Go to Email ManagerForwarders (or Catch-All)
  2. Set the catch-all to forward to a specific address, or set it to fail (bounce) for non-existent addresses
Tip: We recommend setting catch-all to fail to avoid spam. Only forward specific addresses you actually use.
